Pylos

Pylos, built amphitheatrically on two low hills, is a beautiful seaside town.  The Marathonisi or Helonaki rock is located at the center of its port

and its water breaker, the historical island of Sfaktirias.  Characteristics of Pylos are its whitewashed homes with island architecture, the impressive arches of its buildings, as well as it square with canons and extremely high trees.  Pylos has the largest natural port of the Peloponnese and is simultaneously one of the most popular tourist destinations of Messinia.  It welcomes many tourists every summer who visit to admire its historical monuments and graphic landscape of the region.
